WELCOME TO OCEANSIDE LITTLE ATHLETICS CLUB
Oceanside Little Athletics Club (OLAC) is a community athletics club situated in Mullaloo. Oceanside competes under the Hamersley Little Athletics Centre (HLAC),
which is governed by Little Athletics WA (LAWA).
Oceanside welcomes athletes from U7 through to U17 who reside in the following zones: Mullaloo, Connolly, Beldon, Kallaroo, Craigie, Heathridge, Ocean Reef and any suburb north of Ocean Reef. Residents from other areas are now also welcome to join the club.
Oceanside Little Athletics has been in operation for over 25 years - made possible only by the generous contributions of volunteers, parents and carers of athletes willing to give their time to continue the success of the club where Kim Mickle started her athletics career.
Come join in the family, fun and fitness that OLAC is proud to encourage!!
Registration are now open.
First time athletes can attend 2 free training sessions and
1 free competition day as a trial before committing.
Vias/Mastercard and PayPal payments only.
It covers both the summer and winter season, both training and competitions. Members who have a
Health Care card may be eligible for a $150 Kidsport subsidy through their local council.
In line with Hamersley LAC policy, parents must select a competition day roster at the time of registration.
The Oceanside Little Athletics Club uniform is white and navy with Oceanside logo
on back and must be worn on each competition day.
Boys: T-Shirt, Singlet, Navy Shorts or Bicycle Pants
Girls: T-Shirt, Singlet, Navy Bicycle Pants or Briefs
Plain navy shorts or bicycle pants for girls and boys maybe also purchased from
Best and Less, Big W or Target from $10.
Oceanside Little Athletics Club training is held at
Korella Park, Westview Blvd, Mullaloo on Mondays and Thursdays from 4.30pm to 6pm.
Although volunteer and professional coaches are provided, parents are required to stay and supervise their children, particularly in the younger age groups, to ensure safety and appropriate behaviour.
Oceanside Little Athletics Club Parent Participation Policy
All parents of Athletes have to be prepared to commit to duty rosters
issued by the Club and the Centre.
Parents are expected to complete around 12 hours of rosters across the 18 weekends of
Hamersley competitions. Roster duties include helping in the canteen and running the BBQ,
data entry of results, officiating (training provided), managing a marshalling area and announcing events. Non-rostered parent assistance is also needed at each event to, for example, rake the long/triple jump pits, retrieve throws implements, record results and measure throws and jumps.

Oceanside Little Athletics Club Cross Country Winter Program 2020
Existing Summer Athletes need to log on to resultshq to register for the Winter Program and it is necessary that you fill out a contact form with your personal details.
This information will be held at training in case of an emergency. It will also be used to correspond with you throughout the season.
New members who wish to sign up solely for the Winter Season may register via resultshq by contacting Hamersley Registrar. You will have to complete a registration form and provide a copy of your child's birth certificate. The cost per athlete the winter season only is to be determined.
At time of registration all those competing will need to pay $5 for timing chip.
Athletes can wear their own clothing for training sessions. However, if participating in Championship Races, athletes must compete in the Hamersley strip. U7 to U9's may compete in their club strip, if they wish to. Uniforms may be purchased during training.
• Please note that continuing summer athletes must use their existing summer registration number.
• New winter athletes will be provided with a new number before their first race.
The race dates, host centres and venues are detailed in the above schedule. Please note that this information is subject to change, in particular, the order of running for each age group's race. We strongly recommend that prior to each race date, you double-‐check the information that can be found on the Hamersley or WALA websites.
It is compulsory for each family to volunteer; failure to do so will preclude your child from participating on that day.
Rules of Competition
These can be found in the yellow 2018/2019 booklet. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with the rules.
We have a couple of volunteer coaches who have varying levels of experience. Between them, they will endeavour to provide acomprehensive program for all participants.
