WELCOME TO OCEANSIDE LITTLE ATHLETICS CLUB
Oceanside Little Athletics Club (OLAC) is a community athletics club situated in Mullaloo. Oceanside competes under the Hamersley Athletics Centre (HLAC),
which is governed by Athletics West.

PRESIDENT ADDRESS
Hello everyone and welcome all the new and returning families to our club. We are excited to have you representing our club in the 2023/2024 Little Athletics season. We train twice a week on a Monday and Thursday 4.30-6pm, at Korrella Park in Mullaloo. Unlike other sports, training is not compulsory however it is recommended to attend at least one session to learn the skills required for competition on Saturdays at Charles Riley Memorial Reserve, North Beach.
The Summer Season will begin with training on Monday 2 October 2023 and the first competition of the season will be Saturday 7 October 2023. Registrations will open in September 2023 - see our Registration page for more details.

We offer 2 come-and-try sessions for new members. Please identify yourself at training as you will need to complete a come-and-try form.

U7-U11 Athletes - $275

Your annual registration also includes the Winter Cross Country season.
First time athletes can attend 2 free training sessions and 1 free competition day as a trial before committing.

Athletes who have a Health Care Card may be eligible for a $150 Kidsport subsidy through their local council.
In line with Hamersley Athletics Centre policy, parents must select a competition day roster at the time of registration.

UNIFORMS
The Oceanside Little Athletics Club uniform is white and navy and must be worn on each competition day.

TRAINING
Oceanside Little Athletics Club training is held at
Korella Park, Westview Blvd, Mullaloo on Mondays and Thursdays from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Although volunteer and professional coaches are provided, parents are required to stay and supervise their children, particularly in the younger age groups, to ensure safety and appropriate behaviour.
​
Training starts Monday 2 October 2023.
PPP
Oceanside Little Athletics Club Parent Participation Policy
​
All parents of Athletes have to be prepared to commit to duty rosters issued by the Club and the Centre.
​
Parents are expected to complete around 12 hours of rosters across the 18 weekends of
Hamersley competitions. Roster duties include helping in the canteen and running the BBQ,
data entry of results, officiating (training provided), managing a marshalling area and announcing events. Non-rostered parent assistance is also needed at each event to, for example, rake the long/triple jump pits, retrieve throws implements, record results and measure throws and jumps.

Go to www.resultshq.com.au and enter the following:
Username: Email Address
Password: Surname (case sensitive - first letter capital)
Online registered Athletes are to use the password already selected.
You can change your password at any time by logging in
- Go to the 'Help Menu' and go to 'Change Password'
WINTER COMP
Registrations for the Winter Cross Country Season will open in April 2024.
​
Your summer registration fee also includes the winter cross country and race walking season conducted by Athletics West. The races operate on selected weekend dats from May to August each year, culminating with the State Championships late August. Hamersley Athletics Centre offers winter cross country squad training with our qualified middle distance coach at various tracks/courses in the northern suburbs.

Uniform
Athletes can wear their own clothing for training sessions. If participating in Races, athletes must compete in the Hamersley strip. U7 to U9's may compete in their club strip, if they wish to. Uniforms may be purchased during training.
• Please note that continuing summer athletes must use their existing summer registration number.
• New winter athletes will be provided with a new number before their first race.
Roster
It is compulsory for each family to volunteer; failure to do so will preclude your child from participating on that day.
Coaches
We have a specialised coaches and volunteer coaches who have varying levels of experience. Between them, they will endeavour to provide a comprehensive program for all participants.
